FRANK E. ALWARD IS SUMMONED BY DEATH

Frank E. Alward died at 9 o'clock last evening at his home, 324 West Sandusky street, from genral paralysis. He had been in poor health two years but became seriously ill in Hot Springs, Ark., four weeks ago and was immediately brought to this city.

Mr. Alward was a resident of Benton Ridge for some time, after which he moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., where his children received their education. He came to Findlay in 1913. He was born in Hardin, Iowa, Dec. 16, 1854, and was the son of Harriett M. and Albert L. Alward. He married Francis E. Dukes on March 31, 1881. His present wife, who survives, was Miss Grace E. Mauger.

He was a member of the Elks lodge and the First Methodist Episcopal church. Among those who survive are his children, Glen D. and Orril Alward, of Gary, Indiana; Mrs. Alice Messersmith, of Cincinnati, and his sister, Mrs. Alice J. Hill of West Sandusky street.

No funeral arrangements have been made.
