Vera E. Dahlmeier, 93, Sioux Falls, S.D. , died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26 at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, rural Pipestone with Rev. Leonard Haggin officiating.

Honorary casket bearers will be Dan Dahlmeier, Bryan Dahlmeier, Paul Clark, Christy Roemen, Donna Clark and Darin Dahlmeier.

Casket bearers will be Fred Dahlmeier, Steven Dahlmeier, Mark Roemen, Ron Haney, Robert Clark and Mike Clark.

Interment will be in Salem United Methodist Church, rural Pipestone.

Vera Evelyn Dahlmeier was born to Eli and Ida (Hoyme) Dahlmeier on June 14, 1913 in Moody County, S.D. on the family farm where she was raised. She was baptized as an infant at the Salem United Methodist Church in rural Pipestone. She attended school at the Dailey School in Moody County. Following her education she continued to live with her parents. As a young adult, she moved to Minneapolis where she worked at a munitions plant during WWII. Later she was employed at a casket factory as a seamstress.

On Oct. 2, 1995 she became a resident at the Sunrise Village in Jasper and in April 2004 she became a resident of Pam's Place, Sioux Falls, S.D.

On Friday, May 18 she was admitted to Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in rural Pipestone where she was active in circle and volunteering her time.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Viola Dahlmeier, Sioux Falls; one niece and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and Curtis Dahlmeier; one sister, Edna Severeid and one niece, Marie Haney.
