Hazel "Red" Chesebro, 70, of 333 S. Seventh St., died Wednesday, May 26, in his home. He was born Aug. 3, 1911, in Valley, Vernon Co., to Frank and Ardella (Hatfield) Chesebro. He married Thela Parr on March 14, 1932, in La Crosse. Survivors are his wife; one son, Gary Sr. of Holmen; three daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Phyllis) Herrmann of Onalaska, Mrs. Earl (Nona) Dennis of Janesville and Mrs. John (Rosalie) Zahn of La Crosse; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Fred of West Salem; and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Graff of Joshua Tree, CA. He was preceded in death by one brother. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Nelson Funeral Home, La Crosse. The Rev. David Worm will officiate and burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery near La Farge. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 6 p.m.
