Death date: according to the a document called California State Roster, 1909, Government and Military Records, the date of death was the 26th, however, I couldn't find details in Placer nor Sutter - maybe the 26th was the burial date?

He was a member of the California State Assembly, 15th district (Sutter), from 1858-1859. (He's also listed in/on the politicalgraveyard.com)

He married Elizabeth R. Ellis in Missouri, January 1, 1843. After her death he married Harriet Murphy in Yuba, California on July 14, 1877 - I'm "assuming" Harriet died before 1900 as he's listed as a widow on the 1900 census - I have no idea where she's buried.

Thomas and Elizabeth had at least 4 children, one died a day before her, another two weeks after her, tragic :(
