Inez Marie Fuchser, age 89, died Thursday, March 26th and Highland Park Care Center in Alliance.

She was born November 18, 1920 at the family farm west of Rushville to the late William and Florence Barth. She attended rural country school and graduated from Rushville High School. She then attained her teachers certificate and taught school for a short time. Soon thereafter she moved to California and worked in a department store. On February 24, 1944 she was united in marriage to (Bud) Richard Donald Fuchser, and they returned to the family farm in Gordon, where they raised their family. Known as "Iney" to many she spent time preparing many family meals; followed by one of her delicious desserts. She enjoyed taking time in her garden and also tending to her tulips, carnations, and peony's with loving care. Her leisure time was spent with friends of the Lone Butte Extension Club and the Ideal Bowling League.

Inez is survived by her sons: Larry and his wife Petty, New York City, Y.Y.; Gary and wife Evelyn, of Gordon, grandchildren: Dennis Stowell, of Denver, Nickie Leeper and husband Corby of Callaway, Jonathan, Megan, Melissa of Chadron, Nora of New York City; sisters: Eunice Britt of Rushville, Phyllis Guy of Bellevue, Wash.; and sister-in-law: Bonnie Claussen and husband Jim of Chadron. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Bud), infant son: Mitchell, infant daughter: Barbara; two sisters: Zella Butterfield, Irene Diercks; four brothers: Harold, Raymond, Jim and Bill.

Funeral services for Inez were held March 30 at the Gordon Cemetery, graveside services. Officiating will be Celebrant Harlan Wheeler.

Memorial funds have been established in her name for the Gordon Fire Department, and Gordon Ambulance with collections made at the First National Bank of Gordon.

Chamberlain Pier Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
