ST GEORGE - Betty Crane Mickelson, 91, died Saturday, May 24, 2008. Betty was born April 28, 1917 in Salina, Utah a daughter of Lera and Glen Crane.

She married Abraham LeRoy "Roy" Mickelson on February 2, 1935 in Manti, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized later that year, in the Logan LDS Temple. Betty was a member of the LDS Church were she served in numerous church callings. Her most treasured calling was that of Primary President both in of her ward and stake. She also enjoyed serving with her husband as ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple for three years.

She worked at various part-time jobs while raising her seven children and full-time at IRS for many years. After their children were grown and they retired, they enjoyed many fun filled summers with friends in Ogden and Mesa, AZ, where they lived during the winter months. She was a shuffle board champion, along with enjoying dances, dinners and outings with other retired couples at "The Park" in Mesa.

Surviving are her children, Craig (Sheri), Boise, ID; Lynn (Kathy), Layton, UT; Calvin (Joan), Anacortes, WA; Chad, Severn, MD; Scott (Brookanne), St. George, UT; Judy (Tom) Kernan, Highlands Ranch, CO; Daughter-in-law Helen Mickelson, Ogden. Brothers, Alan Crane, Salina, UT; Wayland (Pat) Crane, Richfield, UT; Don Crane, Sunset, UT and her sister Jean (George) Fejes, Medford, OR. Betty and Roy have 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren that she loved and cherished. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son, Kent; and brothers Chad and Maynard.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, where friends and family may gather prior to the service from 9 to 10:45 am
