FORT PIERCE - Arthur Olaf Halonen, 72, of Fort Pierce died Monday, June 29, 1998, in Columbia Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Callaway Township, Minn., he lived in Fort Pierce for five years. He moved here from Mobile, Ala.

He was a painter.

He served in the Marine Corps.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8058, American Legion Post 40, and Amvets Post 15, all in Fort Pierce.

Survivors include two sons, John Glen and Steven Halonen, both of Michigan; two daughters, Kathleen Halonen of Bonita, Calif., and Carol Williams of Tulsa, Okla.; seven sisters, Barbara Dominiak and Leila Gaidosh, both of Milwaukee, Lillian Gidney of Cascade, Idaho, Joan Gradinjan of Lola, Wis., Sandra Koukari of Wisconsin, Helen Peterson of Waterford, Wis., and Dorothy Wernig of Fort Pierce; six brothers, Eugene Halonen of Sturdvent, Wis., Harry Halonen of Fort Myers, Lester Halonen of Tomahawk, Wis., Lionel Halonen of Delevan, Wis., Rudolph Halonen of Dalton, Ga., and Rueben Halonen of Arizona; a companion, Margie Switzer of Fort Pierce; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A service was held Friday, July 3 at All County Funeral Home & Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel in Stuar
