Erma L. Craine
Mrs. Erma L. Craine, 88, formerly of Bellmeade Manor and Box 129, Altoona RD 1, died Sunday afternoon, June 2, 2002, at Altoona Hospital Center for Nursing Care after an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 5, 1913, in Bellwood, a daughter of the late William Collins and Sadie Pearl (Gephart) Laird. She married Robert D. Craine Sept. 19, 1935, in Bellwood.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Robert D. Jr. of Newry and Charles A. of Altoona; three daughters: Beverly A. Snyder and Nancy l. Noye, both of Altoona RD 1, and Judy M. Dent of McVeytown; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, six brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Craine retired as a packer from Warnaco/Puritan Sportswear, Duncansville.
She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and camping.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, June 4, 2002, at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at the funeral home with Pastor Herb Rice officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
