Grace Agnes Durham was the daughter Molly Malissia Smith and George Washington Durham.
Miss Grace was the oldest living citizen of Humphreys County at the time of her death. She received her B.S. degree from Austin Peay State College in Clarksville, Tennessee. She retired after thirty years teaching for the Humphreys County Board of Education. A member of Deer Creek United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Tennessee Retired Teachers Association.
Grace married Elmer Linden Bell on February 20, 1921 in Humphreys County. To this union a daughter was born, Odessa Lynn Bell (1922). Grandmother of John Baxter Kraus, Jr. and Margaret Jo Kraus Dickerson. Foster granddaughter Nancy Evette Moran Skow. Four great-grandchildren and Eight great-great grandchildren.
