He was preceded in death by his father John L. Ball and a daughter Joslyn Ball.
John leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Chenita Wilson and Tressie Ball; his mother, Julia B. Ball; three sisters, his twin Harlean Walker, Julia Ann Butler and Inez Cage; two brothers, Lennell Ball and Milton Oatis; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by his loving companion, Joann A. Brown.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. -noon Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Progressive Baptist Church, Gulfport with funeral service to follow at noon. Burial will be in Monroe Memorial Park, Canal Road, Gulfport. Services entrusted to Hartwell's Christian Mortuary, Gulfport.
