Dover Hill, Ind. — Lee W. Inman, 62, of the Dover Hill area of Martin County, Ind., died at 9:44 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Ind.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at Queen-Lee Funeral Home, Fifth and High streets, Shoal, Ind. Burial will be in Trinity Springs Cemetery, Martin County, Ind. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lee Inman family.

Mr. Inman was born July 31, 1947, in Bedford, Ind., the son of Frank Henson and Vecelia (Gephart) Inman. He married Rose (Bowers) Turpin on Dec. 19, 2009.

He graduated from Effingham High School in 1966. He was employed at Pluto Corp. of French Lick, Ind., for 12 years and repaired washing machines and dryers. Mr. Inman was a member of The Rock Church of Dover Hill, Ind., and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, earning the rank of sergeant.

Surviving are his wife, Rose Bowers Inman of Dover Hill, Ind.; four sons, Major Lawrence Foss of Kansas, Sgt. 1st Class Timothy Inman and wife, Angela, of Elizabethtown, Ky.; Stephen Inman of Cameron, N.C.; and James Inman of Mattoon; six daughters, Sara Fultz of Mattoon, Lenora Jenkins and husband, Tom, of Antioch, Calif., Brittany Brashear of Brentwood, Calif., Bethany Nagle and husband, Darrel, of Centralia, Shiloh Inman and boyfriend, Bryan, of Centralia and Eveanna Inman of Centralia; three stepsons, Larry, Leon and Lloyd Turpin, all of Bloomington, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Lana Xayaventh and Linda Jordan, both of Bloomington, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Inman of Farina and Dan Inman and wife, Janet, of Watson; sister, Valerie Tanner and husband, Al, of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Evelyn Cline.
