Graveside services for Celesta LaVera Chase, 61, of Molalla will be Thursday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Koth officiating. She died Monday in a Portland hospital. Holman-Hankins-Rilance is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to Myesthenia Gravis in care of the mortuary.
A Nebraska native, she lived in Oregon City and in Molalla for the past year.
She is survived by a son, Michael of Portland; a daughter, Diane Hinds of Oregon City; a brother, Gordon
Putnam of Newberg; and five grandchildren.
Celestia married Loren E. Chase on 18 Aug. 1937, divorcing on Aug. 12, 1954 in Polk County, Oregon.
