Montgomery Edward Gasque, age 88, of Leighton, AL passed away Thursday, April 07, 2016. Montgomery was a member of New LaGrange Missionary Baptist Church and was a self-employed mechanic for 50 plus years.

Preceded in death by his parents, Abb and Etta Gasque; wife, E. Bernice (Quinn) Gasque; daughter, Beverly Wellington; grandson, Christopher Ziga; brothers, Frank, Floyd and Joe Gasque; sisters, Estell Morgan and Burnell Quinn.

Survivors are sons, Ronald Glen Sparks of Tuscumbia, AL , James Neal Sparks (Babbette) of Sheffield, AL; daughters, Linda Gasque Ziga (Jim) of Cleveland Ohio, Melba Gasque of Cleveland Ohio, and Belinda Sparks Kilpatrick (Don) of Russellville; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 09, 2016 from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Service will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Poplar Creek Cemetery. Brother Kenneth Bond and Andrew Gasque will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Gary Quinn, Phillip Vandiver, John Gasque, Mathew Aday, Justin Sharp, and Wesley Wellington.

Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
