Mildred Norris Rites May 6
Funeral services for Mrs. Noland (Mildred) Norris, 53, were held May 6 at the Blockton Christian Church with Rev. James Ferris officiating. Mrs. Norris died at Iowa University Hospitals May 4, 1966, following a long illness. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery, Blockton.

Mildred Lorene Norris was born May 12, 1912. She was born on a farm west of Blockton, the daughter of Mr. and Mars. Alley [Allie] Brown who now live north of Blockton on highway 25. Mildred attended school and graduated from Blockton High School.

On July 19, 1934, she was united in marriage to Noland Norris and to this union was born a son, Harold Dean Norris who now lives in Blockton.

At the time of her death Mildred and Noland were living west of Blockton. She belonged to and was active in the Christian Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, and a neighborhood club.

She is survived by her husband Noland, son Harold Dean and wife; her mother and father, one sister, Mrs. Maona Stermole of Des Moines; four brothers, Kenneth of Grant City, Rex of Blockton, Elton of Clearfield and LaVern of Bedford; nine nieces and nine nephews, uncles and aunts, and many, many friends.

Mildred will be missed by all who knew her.
