Mattie Irene Clark Yetter, 62, of Thermopolis died Tuesday March 23, 1999, at West Park Hospital.

She was born Dec. 15, 1936, in Burlington, the daughter of Joseph S. and Emma A. Mecham Clark. She married George H. Yetter on Feb 12 1956, in Meeteetse.

Irene was a lifelong resident of Wyoming and a resident of Thermoplis for 32 years. She enjoyed craft and gardening, music and crossword puzzles. She loved a good joke and enjoyed her work as a waitress.

She was a good mother and enjoyed he grandkids.

Sourvivors include her husband of Thermopolis, Sons George H. "Butch" Yetter Jr. of Thermopolis, Bill Yetter of Parker Ariz., daughter Eleanor "Nory" yetter of Thermopolis, daughter-in-law Theresa Yetter, grandchildren Jason, Kaycee and Ashlie Yetter, Brothers Jay Clark of Ralston and Bill Clark of Byron, sister Velma Lynch of Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her parents,Brothers Lynn, Dell, Joe, John, Earl and Emmit, sisters Ila Tuttle, Erma Rubis, Vella Kelly, Lena Brown, Mona Clark and Viola Mills.

Graveside services were Monday at Meeteetse Cemetery.
