Geraldine E Jones 68 of Lexington died Thursday morning at the Lexington hospital. Services will be Tuesday at 2p.m.from the First Presbyterian Church at Lexington. The Rev.Harvey Moore will officiate and burial in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include one son,Richard Lee of Sumner; one daughter, Mrs Jeannine Townsend of Denver, Colo.; one brother Vane Metz of Eagle Creek,Ore.; one sister, Verona Stumph of Colorado Springs,Colo.; her mother, Mrs Caroline Metz of Lexington Neb.;seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials are planned to the Lexington High school scholarship fund. She had been a teacher nearly 50 years at Lexington, Overton and Sumner. She was an art instructor.
She was born at Kearney. Her husband Lee died in 1969.
