She grew up in Cloud County, KS and spent the early years of married life there. She and her husband, Raymond Drury, moved to Los Angeles during World War II, where he worked in an aircraft factory. They moved back to Kansas after the war. She had a beauty salon named Lo-Ra Beauty Salon in Concordia. They returned to Los Angeles in the 1950's and lived in Hawthorne, CA for many years before retiring to Anza, CA in the 1980's. She had a beauty salon attached to her home in Hawthorne for many years. After Raymond died, she moved to Hemet, CA, where she lived for several years until her death.
She had one son, Fred Lee Drury (adopted by her husband Raymond Drury), who gave her three grandchildren: Robin, Kyle, and Raymond Eugene.
