Born to James Poe Groner and Margaret Elizabeth Sheffield
Grew up around Neosho and Joplin, MO. Married
Amy Alice Pifer on 9/16/1903 in Carthage,Mo.
They later settled in South Dakota and Wyoming.
Adam worked in the Homestake Gold Mine, Deadwood,SD
then moved to Newcastle, WY where he owned a
ranch and the Eagle Refinery northeast of
Newcastle. The couple had seven children.He
also was an avid junk dealer, traveling to auctions,
buying and selling all kinds of items.
Adam died in St. Joseph's Hospital of a
ruptured appendix.
