Mrs. Claxton was a native of Tracey City, Grundy County, Tenn., but had lived in the Waynesboro area for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker and member of Botsford Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie B. Claxton; a son, David E. Claxton and his wife, Bobbi, both of Waynesboro; two daughters, Virginia Jordan of Edison and Mary Frances McGowan of Hazelhurst; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary Claxton, Tony Claxton, Casey Claxton, Rocky Claxton, Adam Cushman, Ashley Neal and Jerry Long.
