p.m. Friday for Mrs. Mildred E. Bates, 87,
of Good Samaritan Village who died in
Kearney Saturday.
Mrs. Bates, a native of Clearfield, Iowa,
had lived in Hastings the past 14 years.
She was a former deaconess in the
Methodist Church.
She was a member of First United
Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S, Hastings.
Mrs. Bates is survived by two sons, Earl
G. Bates of Lincoln and Dr. Arthur G.
Bates of Kearney; one daughter, Mrs.
Jean Jones of Lincoln; seven
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Dr. Robert Townsend will officiate at
the services at All Saints Chapel.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30
p.m. in the Carleton Cemetery, Carleton.
Memorials in honor of the deceased may
be made to the United Methodist Women.
Brand-Wilson is in charge of arrangements.
