Pauline Crump, 97, of Ansonville, died Tuesday afternoon, March 30, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Concord United Methodist Church. Rev. Robert Burr will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home of Norwood.

Mrs. Crump was born December 10, 1912 in Anson County. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Alexander and Mattie Rose Harkey Crump.

She was a homemaker and a member of Concord United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Chalbric Crump, one son, R.B. Crump, one daughter, Luvaide Crump Barbee, two grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and 20 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Larry Crump and wife, Twinkle, of Albemarle; three daughters, Roselind Crump Carpenter and husband, Cary, of Concord, Arlene Crump Blalock of Norwood and Sandra Crump Austin and husband, Steve, of Norwood; a daughter-in-law, Cecile Crump Beasley of Ansonville; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
