Rafus and Mabel had 10 children (Louisa Agnes 1920-1920) (George Rafus 1921-1921), (Laura Ione 1922-1922), (Lucile May 1923-1923), (LaVerne Evelyn 1925-1999), Dale Everett Curtiss 1927-1964), (Lorraine Mabel 1929-2000), (Richard Alvin 1931-1933), (Elmer Gene 1934-1993), and LaVonne Iris (1941- 2023). She had 3 sisters (Maude May 1895-1967), Mildred Virginia LaVerne (1900-1933),( Melva Lynette 1905-1927) and 4 brothers (George Franklin 1894-1920), (Dewey Lee 1898-1968), Ivey Male (1907-1908) and Ivan Curtiss (1909-1968). She outlived her parents George Lewis (1866-1934) and Laura Adeline (1872-1935). Her grandmother from Germany, Louisa Barbara died in 1912.
