Baker Services Held Tuesday In Devine Church DEVINE — James David Baker died Monday, June 6, 1955, at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio. He was buried June 7 in Tomblin cemetery at Black Creek, following services at the Devine First Baptist Church conducted by Rev, Don Rose at 3 p. m. Born May 2, 1880, in Caldwell county Mr Baker had lived in the Devine area for 67 years. His wife was Lucrecy Hardcastle Baker. Surviving are sons J I. Baker of Alpine, J D Baker of Hondo, W. M. Baker of Uvalde, and Weyman Baker of Devine. Daughters include Mrs. Elva Murphy, Devine. Mrs Hassie Murphy, Camp Wood. Mrs. Nan (sic Ann) Dunlavy, San Antonio and Mrs Trecia Stewart, Devine. He also leaves two sisters, as well as many grandchildren.
