Roman Beaver, 73, lifelong McIntosh County resident, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 1960, at the home of his son, Raymond Beaver.
Roman was born May 1, 1887, at Eufaula in what was then Indian Territory, to Byer and Mulsey (Westley) Beaver.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the West Eufaula Indian Church with full military rites.
Beaver was a member of the Creek Tribe and a veteran of World War I.
In addition to his son, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Francis, Mrs. Jennie Mae Barnett, and Mrs. Henryetta Marshall, all of Eufaula: three brothers, Turner Beaver, Brownie Beaver, and William Beaver, all of Eufaula; a sister, Mrs. Nora Beaver of Eufaula, and 21 grandchildren, all of Eufaula.
Burial services will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, under the direction of Kelley Funeral Home.
