Everett W. Baker, 77, of rural Maquon died at 11:07 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 1991 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Galesburg.

Born Dec. 2, 1913, in Berwick Twp., Warren Co. to Jesse C. and Mina (Edmundson) Baker, he married Barbara R. Seaman on Dec. 23, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David C. and Carl L. both of London Mills; two brothers, George A. of London Mills and Stanley C. of Warrenton, VA; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Mae Moxey of Alton; Mrs. Martha Brown of Bardolph and Mrs. Grace Hook of London Mills; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by one sister.
Raised in Abingdon, he had farmed and worked as a truck driver in the London Mills area since 1940. He was a member of the Knox County Farm Bureau.
Services will be at10:30 a.m. Wednesday at London Mills United Methodist Church, the Rev. Joe Grozik officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Corman Memorial Home in London Mills. Burial will be in West Midway Cemetery, London Mills.
Memorials may be made to London Mills United Methodist Church or to the London Mills Ambulance Fund.
