Thomas A. Trainor, 50, of 1402 E. Elm St., died at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1991 at his home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. An inquest and autopsy are pending.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception church. The Rev. James L. Morrissey will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Solon Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
He was born September 14, 1940 in Streator, a son of Omar and Rita (Breen) Trainor. He married Rose Marie Jacobs on September 3, 1960 in Streator. She survives.
Also surviving are sons: Thomas L. Trainor of Streator and Todd A. Trainor of Bloomington; a daughter: Tina M. Trainor of Streator; and brothers: Bud Trainor and Paul Trainor, both of Streator.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Raymond Trainor.
A lifetime Streator resident, he was employed by ArBest Pest Control the past 20 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 645, and Knights of Columbus Council 790.
