Mrs. Ruth Wakefield, 52, local resident since 1940, who resided at 302 Caliche, Bunavista, died at 7:20 a.m. Saturday in North Plains Hospital here.

Mrs. Wakefield was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Borger. She is survived by her husband, Jess Wakefield; two daughters, Carold Sue Wakefield of the home and Mrs. Darlene Marcum of Amarillo; one brother, Bill Francis of Tulsa; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Cox of Broken Arrow, Okla., Mrs. Bertha Wakefield also of Broken Arrow and Mrs. Thelma Woods of Tulsa, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday in Ed Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. The Rev. Archie J. Winkle, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, assisted by the Rev. Lee Hillon, pastor of the Central Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, under direction of Ed Brown.

Active casket bearers for the service of Mrs. Wakefield will be L.H. Hickinbotham, Buford Cherry, Paul Sherrill, Elmer Mercer and Charles McFall. Honorary casket bearers will be Dewaine Nicholson, Sanford Stone, Cyburn Nicholas, Lawton Marcum, Ray Springer and Herman Taylor.
