John was the son of Jesse Hart BURRIER and Mildred ATCHISON. John served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and returned home to farm after the war. He was an Elder of the Cynthiana Presbyterian Church and a former Elder of the Pisgah Presbyterian Church. He served as President of the Cynthiana Rotary Club and Chairman of the Fayette County Soil Conservation Board. He was survived by his wife (the former Sue Warren), by two sons, by five grandchildren, and by his sister Mary Burrier Malkin.
