Maurice F Hague, 70, of 1607 Center Street, a native and lifelong resident of Tippecanoe County, died in his home at 1 p.m. Wednesday following an illness of three years. His marriage in Monticello in 1925 was to Ellen M Giles and she survives. Mr Hague was employed at the Firestone Tire Co., here for 18 years. He also was employed in the maintenance department for the Lafayette School Corp., for 10 years retiring in 1971. Following his retirement, Mr Hague worked as a caretaker for the Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving with his widow are six daughters, Mrs Raymond (Betty) Howard, Mrs Harold (Clara) McCloud, Mrs Chester (Mada) Peacock, Mrs Edwin (Karen) Keller, Mrs James (Maureen) Shoemaker, all of Lafayette, and Mrs Sid (Lana)Ely of San Juan, California; two brothers, Orville of Shelbyville, and Harold of Brookston and a sister, Mrs Roy (Wilma) Scruggs of Brookston. FUNERAL Arrangements: Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Friday in Soller-Baker Funeral Home. Services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Soller-Baker Main Chapel with the Rev Bruce W Morgan officiating and interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Brookston. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A daughter, Luella preceded him in death.
