Mrs. Cora Wihn, 74, of Rose Hill, Town of Corning, died Monday at 3:55 p.m. at Corning Hospital to which she was admitted Thursday. She had been ill for several weeks of complications.
Mrs. Wihn was a native of Chemung County, born May 30, 1866, and was the daughter of George and Mary Griffith Canfield. She lived on Rose Hill nearly all of her married life.
Her husband, Willis Wihn, died a number of years ago. Surviving are one son, Floyd Wihn of Gibson; one daughter, Mrs. William Davies of Caton; one brother, John Canfield, 198 Bridge street; 10 grand- children, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be removed late today from the Stover Funeral Home to the home of her son, Floyd on College avenue, Gibson, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats.
