Mrs. Sallie Light, wife of John A. Light, of Weavertown, North Lebanon Township, passed away at 8 o'clock Friday evening at the Lebanon Sanatorium, where she had been under treatment for four weeks. She was aged 53 years. She suffered for some time from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Light was the eldest child of the late Jacob Lick, of near Fredericksburg, and was born and raised in that section of the county. She was twice married and leaves three children: Mrs. Walter Reedy, Avon; Mrs. Rosie Light at home and Henry Lentz, Weavertown, by her first marriage. Her second marriage was childless. Besides her mother, Mrs. Rebecca Light, of Fredericksburg, she leaves two brothers, Charles Lick of Ocean Park, California, and James L. Lick, an insurance agent, of 821 Mifflin Street, Lebanon ad eight sisters, Emma, wife of Herbert Umberger, Philadelphia; Maggie, wife of Benjamin Grumbein, of Jonestown Route No. 1; Katie, wife of Calvin Donmoyer, Fredericksburg; Eva, wife of Samuel Deck Fredericksburg; Annie, wife of Luke Reber, Reading; Ada, wife of Paul Reber, Hawley, Pa.; Rebecca, wife of Joseph Umberger, and Mary, wife of Jacob Pfautz, both residing on Canal Street, Independent Borough. Mrs. Light was not only widely known, but was held in highest esteem by her neighbors and friends. She possessed a genial disposition and general attributes of heart and mind which popularized her with those who came into contact with her and the sorrow of her passing is shared by many outside of the family circle. Her life was such that her usefulness, her affections and kindness to those about her will ever linger in fragrant and abiding memory. She was a member of the Avon United Brethren church.
