Albert "Don" Renard, 87, of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born April 28, 1913, the son of Albert Derlin Renard and Neata Ella Clay.
He married Hazel White in 1980 in Farmington, New Mexico. He was a machinist for Woodruff & Edwards for over 30 years until his retirement in 1978. He served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Elgin; a daughter, Nancy (Don) McKeating of Madison, Wis.; a son, Gary Renard of Elgin; and three brothers, Charles(Dorothy) Renard of Naples, Fla., Robert (Lenore) Renard of Elgin and WilliamRenard of South Elgin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrna Renard in 1971; a brother, Dale Renard; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Renard.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday in the First Christian Church of Elgin, 1125 Summit Ave., Elgin, the Rev. Titus Solomon officiating. Burial will be in Hampshire Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7-8 p.m., Thursday in the O'Connor and Homeier Funeral Home, Elgin.
Memorials may be made to the church.
