Eula departed this life April 3, 2010 at home. She was a special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt & friend. Eula was born April 16, 1908 in Bastrop County, to Ella Ethridge and Levi Norman Barnard. She married Ambus Voigt January 7, 1927 in Red Rock TX. She was a member of the Onion Creek Baptist Church, however the last church attended was Cedar Valley Baptist Church with her granddaughter Carolyn Fry. She loved playing 42 and Chicken Foot with family and friends and quilting with the Haynie Church Quilters. She was never outside of Texas until she was 90 years old when her grandson Bryan moved to Ticonderoga, NY. She loved flying and made three more trips to NY.Preceding her in death was her mother, father, husband, brothers and a sister. She is survived by one daughter Billie Jean and husband Billy Lambert of Austin; grand children Carolyn Fry of Austin, Bryan and wife Sarah Lambert of Denison, TX.; great grandchildren Brock Fry of Jefferson, TX, Kennedy & Avery Lambert of Denison. Also, 4 sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews and friends.The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, TX. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Harrell Funeral Chapel, Austin, TX. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m., at Perrytown Cemetery, Red Rock, TX.Pallbearers are Tinker Wilhelm, Richard Fluitt, Jeff Backarie, George Barnard, David Barnard,and Charles Voigt.A special thanks to Alta Helford for extra care of Eula the last few years. Alta always helped when needed. Eula loved to talk about old family times. We also thank Iva Stanard for visits, cards and gifts. Eula looked forward to seeing her.
