Roy E. Cheeseman, 76, died suddenly at his home at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday evening death was unexpected.

Mr. Cheeseman was a retired farmer who was born in Tippecanoe County.

He was married in 1919 to Hazel Taylor who died in 1950. In 1961 he married Alice Staley and she survives. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Also a member of F. & A. M. 618, Dayton Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and Sheffield Township Farm Bureau.

Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Haust of Lafayette; one step-son, William C. Staley of Mulberry, three step-daughters, Mrs. James Cox and Mrs. Donald Culbertson, both of San Leandro, California, and Mrs. Jack Woolfe of Lafayette; and one sister, Mr. Mildred Rives of Somerville, N.J. There are also 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Cheeseman were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Mulberry with the Rev. E. Vaughn Powell officiating. Burial took place at the West Point Cemetery.
