CRAWLEY, MRS. ELIZABETH GARNER – 81, passed away 6:45 p.m. Friday at 319 East Baxter Avenue. She was a member of the Lonsdale Methodist Church. Survivors: two sons, C. J. Crawley, Blackstone, Ill., and Joe Crawley of Knoxville; four daughters, Mrs. Tina Hackworth, Mrs. Lucile Nelson, Mrs. Ada Smeltzer, all of Knoxville, and Mrs. Annie Garner of Birmingham, Ala.; 31 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The body has been removed to Weaver’s. Funeral 4 p.m. Sunday at Weaver’s chapel, Rev. Stuart Bennet officiating. Interment Zion Cemetery, Anderson County.
Grandsons will be pallbearers: Henry, Denver and Joe Crawley Jr., Deadrick Nelson, Elmer and Chester Hackworth; granddaughters will be flower girls; Roberta and Margaret Crawley, Cleva Nelson, Flora Ensor.
