Mr. Rawlins was a retired farmer and had lived in Fritch for 21 years before moving to Panhandle where he had lived for the past six years.
He was a Baptist and was born in Snellville, Ga., on June 29, 1888.
He is survived by four sons, Ray and E.N., both of Borger, Harold of Phillips, Aaron of Spearman; four daughters, Lucille Miller of Borger, Ruth Denton of Fritch, Dana Rogers and Kathryn Rawlins, both of Panhandle; sister, Mary Meeks of Levelland; three brothers, Oscar of Baytown, Paul of Levelland, Plen of Denison; 29 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services for Ancel Aaron (Pop) Rawlins, 88, were at 2 p.m. today in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Preston Harrison, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Panhandle officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Rawlins died Saturday evening at St. Ann's Nursing Home in Panhandle.
