LINCOLN - Eugene S. Eckholt, 85, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Lincoln.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln with the Rev. Robert Tucker officiating. Burial is at Wyuka Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 3.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Roper and Sons Chapel in Lincoln, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

Mr. Eckholt was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Humphrey to John H. and Rose E. (German) Eckholt. He was the owner of Ken's for Pens.

He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the church, American Legion Post 3 and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Robert Eckholt of Leawood, Kan.; one daughter, Carol Eckholt Krajicek of Omaha; two stepchildren, Judy (Bill) Startzer of Omaha and John (Sheri) Hibberd of Lincoln; two sisters, Thelma White of Elkhorn and Marilyn Grasso of Omaha; and one sister-in-law, Imelda Eckholt of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Eckholt; one sister, Luella; and one brother, Kenneth.

Memorials may be directed to Calvert Senior Center.
