She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was the widow of John H. Altmeyer. Survivors: daughter, Frieda Jones: son, John L. Altmeyer, mother; Anna Barnett Covey: sisters, Ethel Khoer, Irene and Loretta Robinson, Jeanette Featherston and Laura Belle McWilliams; brothers, Robert and Leroy Covey: seven grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren.
