Violet Catherine McCoy, 93, of rural Wheeler, passed on to be with her Lord at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich and from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Latona Church of Christ in Latona. Funeral services celebrating Violet's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Nate Hagen officiating. Burial will be in Trexler Cemetery in rural Newton.
In loving memory of Violet, memorials may be made to Latona Church of Christ Building Fund or Oblong Children's Christian Home.
