Death date of Enoch Franklin Peal is May 14, 1927.

Frank Peal, 76, well and favorably known in Union county since 1879, when he and his family crossed the plains to the "Oregon Country," died after ten days illness at St. Mary hospital, Walla Walla, Wa., and his remains were brought to Cove for burial, 18th inst., where his widow and their four living children out of nine. Mrs. I. (Ida) Fannie (Frances) Alexander of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Mrs. Mary (Minnie Mae) Rinehart of Eugene, E. (Enoch) Dudley and D. Morton (This person is not known. in the family, it could be a mistake in printing.)( There is a Benjamin McCord Peal, son of Enoch Franklin and Virginia Wickliffe Peal.. He lived in Joseph .I believe this is Benjamin..) Peal of Joseph, Ore., heard his funeral sermon preached by the pastor Rev. Fred Greene, of Calvary Baptist church, where he had been an ordained deacon many years ago. The pallbearers were J.B. Breshears, Geo. W. McDannel, Lewis Bloom, Isaac Chenault, E.F. Roberts and O.B. Robinson.

(Enoch) Frank Peal was born in Warsaw, Benton Co., Mo., December 4, 1851; married to Miss Virginia Wickliffe of the same county, Feb. 26, 1871. Settled in Elgin, Ore., 1879; united with the Baptist church 1880 and remained a consistent member to his death. Moved to Cove, 1899. Three of their children, Mrs. Mollie Harsin, ( Mary Susan) , Mrs. Fraty " Fratie " L. Lynch ,and Edward Earl Peal are buried in Union county, and two dying in infancy, are resting in Missouri.

( Note: Daughters.. Mary Susan "Mollie" Peal Harsin, and Mary Susan Peal's Husband Martin G. Harsin, and Mrs. Fratie L. Peal Lynch, and Fratie's two sons.. Newborn Baby Lynch, and 6 month old son Leonard Lynch... and Enoch Franklin's 5 month old son, Edward Earl Peal are all buried in Cove, Oregon Cemetary.. and Enoch Franklin's wife Virginia Wickliffe Peal, near Enoch .) Peal Lynch, daughter of Enoch Franklin Peal and Virginia) are two grandsons of Enoch and Virginia. Newborn Baby Lynch, and Leonard Lynch, sons of Daughter Fratie Peal Lynch, and husband Winnie Lynch. ( Winnie Lynch is not buried in Cove, that I could find..Winnie died in Marion county, Oregon Note: Mary Susan "Mollie" Peal Harsin, and her husband Martin G. Harsin, are laid to rest, near Enoch Franklin Peal and Virginia Wickliffe Peal..in Cove Cemetary.

A good husband and father, kindly neighbor and desirable citizen in any community he has gone to his sure reward.
