Marvin L. Crowe Sr.
Marvin L. Crowe Sr., 69, of Mt. Vernon passed away on March 25, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born on October 14, 1940, to Hazel (Pope) and Ishmel J. Crowe. Marvin worked for many years as a security guard for Pinkerton, where he had earned the rank of Captain. He serviced many companies during his career with Pinkerton, including Babcock and Wilcox, AT&T and Southwind Maritime Center. He loved to fish, hunt, play his guitar and banjo and enjoyed planting a big garden when he was able. Marvin was a devoted father and loved his family.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Myra (Hensley)Crowe of Mt. Vernon; mother, Hazel Crowe of Mt. Vernon; children, Tim (Donna) Crowe, Carol (Gary) Doninger, and Marvin Jr. (Beth) Crowe, all of Evansville; and grandchildren, Daniel Doninger, Jennifer Crowe and Talia Crowe, all of Evansville.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Rev. Karl Crowe will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Marvin L. Crowe Sr. to the American Cancer Society .
