KARL ODLE , 92

Karl S. Odle, 92, of 229 E. Carl St., Winchester died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999 at Randolph County Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 18, 1906 in Randolph County to the late John and Wilma Sipe Odle. He was a 1926 gratuate of Jefferson High School. He retired from Anchor Hocking Glass, Winchester. Odle was a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church , Phi Delta Kappa , Moose Lodge # 1977 Winchester, the Union City Eagles and a lifetime member of the American Legion, Ridgeville. He also worked as a road supervisor for Randolph County and the Indiana State Highway Dept. He was a past member of the Ridgeville Conservation Club. He was a past president of G. G.B.A. in Winchester and the Senior Citizen Coalition in Anderson.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Edith Keys Odle of Winchester; two daughters , Martha "Punkie" Odle of Union City , Ind., and Ruth Ann (husband Robert) Price of Connersville; two sisters Ethel Isenhart of Rortland and Olive Brunson of Rifle, Colo.; two grandchildren, April (husband Brian) Hanaway and Kitty Elsey, both of Union City, Ind.; and one great-granddaughter, Sierra Hanaway.
He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph N. Odle; and one daughter, Mary H. Eley.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester with the Rev. Derrell Borders officiating. Burial is at Fountian Park Cemetery, Winchester. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
