Alma Bertha Matz, age 75, Birnamwood, died August 10, 1968 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.
She was born July 17, 1893 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Carl Giese.
On June 24, 1916 Alma was united in marriage to Frank Matz in Birnamwood. He survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include five daughters, Eudora (Warren) Crawford, Milwaukee, Evelyn (Eldo) Frederick, Birnamwood, Mildred (Keith) White, Antigo, Lois (William) Liethen, Jr. and Shirley (Robert) Clark, all of Birnamwood; two sons, Melvin Matz, Waukesha and Edward Matz, Birnamwood; one brother, Charles Giese, Birnamwood; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Kevin Frederick.
Funeral services were held August 12, 1968 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. The Rev. Richard Borchers officiated. Interment was in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood.
