Martha Mae Gembolis AGOSTINO
Of Kirkland died July 10, 2003, at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. She was 82 years old. Martha was born July 28, 1920 to Anton and Helen Gembolis in Wakefield, Michigan where she attended local schools. In 1944, she came out to Seattle to be the maid of honor at her sister Helen's wedding. She stayed in Seattle and married Joe Agostino, best man at her sister's wedding. They lived in West Seattle for 27 years before moving to Kirkland where they have lived for the past 31 years. Mrs. Agostino enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards and watching her three sons grow up, marry and give her grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 58 years, Joe, she is survived by her three sons, Tom (Donna), Ron (Shelley) and Larry (Sue); grandchildren Jason, Nicholas, Vincent, David, Peter, Michael, Jennifer (John), Kimberly, Matthew, Bryan, Daniel; great grandchildren Ryan, Alexandra and Brenden; brothers, Joe and Alex Gembolis; sister, Helen Novito and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Clarence, Anton, Stanley and sister, Regina. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland, July 14, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Holyrood Cemetery. Visitation and Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday evening at Green's Funeral Home of Kirkland.
