W. Thurman Ellett, 77, of Pascagoula, MS, passed away, Monday, January 1, 2007, in Pascagoula.

Mr. Ellett was born April 17, 1929 to the late Roman and Ruby Ellett in Murpheesboro, MS. Thurman was employed and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after over 35 years working in the Hull Department. He was a Joppa Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, and bowling. A special joy later in his life was his friends, Jeff, Pat, Durwood, Miss Jenny, Nathan, and all other friends of the "McDonald's Gang".

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 50 years, Sallie Ellett, and sister, Catherine Horton.

He is survived by two daughters, Rita Anton (Robert O'Sullivan) of Pascagoula, MS. Brenda Brown (Leon) of Fort Thomas, KY; two sisters, Wynette Allen of Pascgaoula, MS. and Corine Milam of Eupora, MS; five grandchildren, Adam, Benjamin, Christy, Amber , Katie and six great-grandchildren, Brennan, Logan, Samantha, Jessica, Sabrina, and Jerrod.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, MS. from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 5, 2007 at National Funeral Home in Grenada, MS, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.

Interment will be at Corinth Cemetery in Charleston, MS.
