Visiting at Escude Funeral Home, Simmesport, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Religious service at First Pentecostal Church, Batchelor, at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment in Latanache Cemetery, Batchelor.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vera Munson of Batchelor; his son and only child, Reed and wife Wanda Munson of Batchelor; a sister, Lois Thurston of Gulfport, Miss.; two grandchildren, Chad Munson of Denham Springs and Stacie Munson of New Roads; two great-grandchildren, Cody Wayne Munson and Payton Elizabeth Munson, both of Denham Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Munson; mother, Effie Munson; three sisters, Mae Whitmore, Louise Brooks and Lura Carroll; and six brothers, George, Robert "Bob," Jessie, Fred, Roy and James Munson.
He was a member of First Pentecostal Church, Batchelor.
