A resident of Batchelor, she died at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 88 and a native of Coon.
Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Vis-iting at The Pentecostals of Batchelor Church, Batchelor, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. James Hodges. Interment in Latanache Cemetery.
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and William Rhorer, Houston; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mack and Charlene Brooks, Baton Rouge, Roland Brooks, Batchelor, and Eldon and Lynn Brooks, Baton Rouge; a sister, Lois Thurston, Long Beach, Miss.; a brother, Luther Munson, Coon; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Mack Brooks; parents, Robert and Effie Munson; brothers, George "Bud," Robert "Bob," Jesse, Fred, Roy and James Munson; and sisters, Lura Carroll and Mae Whitmore.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and other family members. She was a member of The Pentecostals of Batchelor Church in Batchelor.
