Mrs. Mary Catherine (Crissman) Kerr, 82, of New Bethlehem RD1 died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 1970 in Brookville Hospital. Born March 21, 1887, near Widnoon (Madison Twonship), she was the daughter of Ira and Olive (Cobbett) Crissman. She was married to William J. Kerr on January 30, 1907 in Kittanning. Mr. Kerr died January, 1968. Survivors include eight daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Olive) Barrett, Templeton, Mrs. Lynn (Ella) Smith, New Bethlehem, Mrs. Guy (Laura) Cyphert, Clarion, Mrs. Francis (Evelyn) Ernest, Clarion, Mrs. David (Mary) Downs, New Bethlehem, Mrs. Melvin (June) Thomas, New Bethlehem, Mrs. Leon (Phoebe)Hanold, Callensburg, Mrs Edwin(Beulah) Burns, Sligo; two sons, Verner J. Kerr, Rimersburg, and Quentin H. Kerr, Warren, OH; 32 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. John (Elsie) Koch, Santa Barbara, CA, and two brothers, James and George Crissman, Widnoon. A brother and two sisters are deceased. Friends of Mrs. Mary Catherine Kerr will be received at the Wayne E. McNaughton Funeral Home, New Bethlehem after 7 today and from 8-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Paul A. Hetrick officiating. Burial will be in New Bethlehem Cemetery.
