Dr. Abner L. Bausman died Tuesday at his home, 2540 Pleasant avenue after an illness of many months. He was 77 years old and was one of the early settlers of Minneapolis. He was born in Ebensburg, Pa., and received his early education in Pittsburg where he studied dentistry. He came to Minneapolis in 1856.
Dr. Bausman was one of the organizers of the Minneapolis Athaeneum, the beginning of the present public library and a charter member and trustee of the First Baptist church. Until the time of his retirement he took an active interest in municipal affairs.
Dr. Bausman leaves a wife, Rebecca Fenby; two daughters, Mrs. Frank H. Page of Springfield, Mass., and Marion Douglas of Minneapolis and three sons, George and Alonzo Linton Bausman of Springfield, Mass., and Richard Fenby Bausman of this city. Services Thursday at the residence. Interment in Lakewood cemetery.
