He was a construction contractor engaged in business with his father for 36 years from 1919 to 1945 and from 1945 to 1968 with his brothers. He retired in 1968.
Meck was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion's Red Church, Orwigsburg.
Surviving are his widow, the former Eva M. Bohrman; one daughter, Doris, wife of Charles Fisher, Orwigsburg RD1; two grandchildren; two brothers, James O. Meck, Orwigsburg RD1 and Ivan C. Meck of Deer Lake.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Lundbye Funeral Home. The Rev. Luther Linn officiated with burial in Zion's Red Church Cemetery.
